The opening band JJuuJJuu was a treat on its own, kind of a short set but the music made up for it. These guys can fucking jam.
Now onto Boogarins, these guys man... their sound is absolutely sexy, it's a mix of the psychedelic sounds of the 60s, modern math rock, and subtle shoegaze elements, at least in my opinion. What really stood out to me was the visible passion in the lead singer's presence, these guys genuinely look like they're having a blast creating sonic landscapes and it shows through the music.
If you get the chance to see these guys live act on it. You won't regret it.
I love seeing them live. Great musicians and they have a great stage presence. Its exciting when such great talent keeps traveling and gives you the opportunity to experience them. Also one of the girls at the venue had terrible gas and sporadically there was the smell of rotting breakfast pizza (with eggs). She made numerous circles in the room and randomly changed her position. I wish she would have left. Everyone else was great, or at least, they didnt have gas. But thats neither here nor there. The B Boys were a treat. They sounded much like their album. Very cool stuff!
2nd time seeing them. The albums are no reflection of how amazing they are in person. One of the best live shows I've seen in the last 3 years. It is a strange analogy but I feel the Boogarins are to traditional Brazilian music what the Pogues are to Irish trad.
