The Comet Is Coming arrived in style. Their support act (on this evening Flamingods) were truly phenomenal delivering a headline worthy set but were ultimately blown away by Comet. The system at HEAVEN really delivered the goods which is essential for a full on sound like that of Comet - the epic highs and lows of Danalogue's synth work was right in your face and in your bones, Shabaka's sax weaved in and punched out of the sound perfectly and it's all held on track by Maxwell's Killer drumming.
On stage is where this band need to be experienced. If you've only ever had them on headphones or even a large stereo you've not even had half the experience. Track them down and enjoy.
Can't knock the passion, drive and skill of a drummer, tenor saxophonist and a Roland synth lover.
A wall of sound to rival any rave or jazz lover. And that's not a common combo.
Only let down by venues issue pickibg up some treble/high notes from the sax...
