Donovan Woods

Let me state, that I am a HUGE fan Donovan Woods fan so you might want to read this review with a grain of salt.

Venue
Super cool. Very small. Had a nice outdoor seating area, but I did not go out there. I know the show was sold out, but I would say there were no more than 200 people there. Perfect amount for this type of venue & absolutely perfect for seeing Donovan and his band.

After the opener (who were awesome, THE LONG LOST out of Chicago), Donovan came out and began a great night of interacting with the crowd (jokes/stories) mixed in with a pretty great setlist made up of news songs off the current album and old songs. The flow of the show had a good feel as he went back and forth between slower and faster songs.

While the music was fantastic, the banter in between songs was just as great. Everyone was laughing & having a great time. As silly as it sounds, if I had to describe it, it would be like Donovan coming to your house, setting up shop, and having a show. It had that kind of close, personal feel to it. The stories that he told about the songs were great & had everyone laughing...

I absolutely cannot wait to see him perform again. He did a meet and greet afterwards as well and he was just as humble/funny as he was during his set. Cannot recommend enough!!!

A fabulous, intimate show. Don is so talented. The music lifts you and tells a story. I was enthralled. He told stories in between the songs which were funny and filled in the why and the how the songs came about.

They keyboardist and drummer were top-notch. Don't miss this fabulous Canadian next time he's in town.

As always, he is an amazing and under-recognized Canadian talent! His show was incredible - singing was stellar, guitar playing was majestic... overall he is a witty and entertaining guy! Highly recommend everyone to see Donovan Woods when he is in your area - give this guy the credit he deserves!

I have seen Donavan Woods in Alberta, Canada and yes...Ill be showing up in Ireland to see him. Great voice, melodies and a dry wit ! Brillant musican ! Just sit back and listen to that melodious caramel voice. Hoping cork concert not sold out yet.

Amazing. First time seeing Donovan live at Petit Campus in Montreal. WOW, je l’adore encore plus qu’avant... beautiful voice and guitar, stage presence, so perfect.. He’s funny too! GO see him, seriously!

What a great show! The music was just as good as I’d hoped, but his storytelling and interaction with the crowd was my favorite part. He had us laughing between each song. We would definitely see him again.

So happy to see Donovan and the opposition come to my hometown. I expected a bigger turnout! They put on a fantastic show as usual. Hope they come back soon.
