The auditorium was dark, and as we heard a voice (Sebastian) shout out, ‘everyone let’s make some noise’, a spot light went on centre stage, and he was standing with his microphone in the air ready to jump up and down as they launched right into Is Anyone Up? They had the audience on their side right away, as their incredible energy was a wonderful encouragement to get everyone dancing along to their music. The venue wasn’t particularly busy, so they shouted out for us to create a divide in the middle of the audience, and then run towards each other, which was super fun.

They played a great selection of songs from We Are The Mess, their new album, and a few also from Bury Me In Vegas. I was astounded by the sheer energy that they were bringing to the performance, jumping and dancing around the stage almost non stop, and Sebastian and Kevin maintained spot on vocals, whilst the others played solid instrumentals.

When they played their metal/rock cover of Katy Perry’s California Gurls, they had everyone singing along, and shouted ‘one, two, three’, and had us all jump and dance along.

Now who wouldn't want to see five musicians dressed as pirates playing their unique brand of folk metal. Alestorm's show is exactly that yet so, so much more. Pioneering a new genre that they have dubbed pirate metal, the Scottish band originally from Perth have a huge cult following in the UK and continue to sell out shows to fans who want to hear their unusual sound.

Touring across the world, the band are synonymous on the metal scene and have played at some of the most prestigious venues including Metalcamp and Wacken Open Air. All this exposure has meant the boys have created a bizarre, boisterous live show with nautical themes running through the stage set up and the setlist. Their folk rock is pretty powerful stuff, with crowds head banging along to the likes of 'Over The Seas' and popular opener 'Walk The Plank'. The characters come out from time to time, and the charisma is partly what makes them so unusual as a metal band, brilliant crowd interaction during 'Wenches & Mead' leaves fans cheering for the eccentrics' return.

They reappear with a frantic encore of '1741' and the satirically titled 'Captain Morgan's Revenge' which leaves fans cheering long after the pirates have boarded their ship to the next venue. Alestorm are a band who understand the importance of standing out in a saturated market, and for anyone who wants to see an alternative to the usual metal performers, catch them on their upcoming UK tour.

Well, I'm a big fan of The Hardkiss and this was my first concert.
If you don't know this band, I'll tell you a little. This is ukrainian rock band (progressive, pop rock) which has ukrainian and english songs. Their songs always are full of sense and emotions and sometimes can make you cry. I mean their songs go through your heart and soul, you could feel it.
Okey, what about the show. Everything was amazing. Organization, light, sound, costumes, everything. I really like the fact that such a talanted and highly-qualitied guys are ukrainians. They make the history.
I recommend you all to go to their show.
Because it is always incredible, unique, cosmic.
