Mihali

I am a long time Lover of great music. As a kid, I grew up going to Grateful Dead tour, listening to Bob Marley and Bob Dylan. I am a writer, drummer, dancer, Lver of life. I worked to protect Land and People and create more Sustainability through the world before I fell ill. I moved to NJ with my husband to care for my grandmother and to take an influencial job for the State dveloping green affordable housing with renewable energy and community gardens, Special Needs Housing, etc. I fell terribly ill 10 years ago with a terrible rare disease. At first, my husband and I would use music to get us through...going to see a plethora of our friend Micheal Franti's shows, listening to much, making up songs. Eight years ago, I became so ill I was bedridden, unable to roll over fora diaper change. Music was garbled into extreme pain in my head.

I had an awakeing 4 months ago, was reathd life back into me, was not expected to live, be walking. My husband, a long time addict and beautiful soul: when I was Reborn I could see he was already gone, he Overdosed on Christmas. I am still getting stronger, walking, dancing, drummin;, singing, writing many many songs. As I woke, I learned about al the amazing musicians that have risen over the past 8-10 years. Nahko Bear, Trevor Hall, Dustin Thomas, Rising Appalacia are some of my favorites. I heard Mihali during this time period. I head his song 'White Light', and was blown away with his lyrics, his light, his skills, his heart. I listened with so much Joy to song after song he has written. I love how he plays simple acoustic and also rocks out! His guitar solos rival that of Tony Rice.

I went out wih a long time friend of my late husbannd and I to see Mihali at the Wonder Bar on WEdnesday night. This was my frist time going out, listening to music, being able to get into a car (not an ambulance/streacher)..in 8 long years. He was so amazing to see Live. I sat for some of the show, and danced danced danced for others. There were many kind people there and I my friend and I thoroughly thorughly enjoyed ourselves!! I will be seeing much more of Mihali, Twiddle and other musical mavens in the near future. They all inspire me endlessly!!!!
