Gabriel Ferrandini

Musician and composer Gabriel Ferrandini and filmmaker Luis costapresents a new audiovisual project at the 34th Curtas Vila do Conde IFF. Marking the first artistic encounter between the two creators, the work emerges from a dialogue between sound and image, proposing an immersive experience where memory, narrative and imagination intersect within an intimate yet speculative landscape. In this film-concert, Ferrandini expands his compositional language here through a combination of choir, strings, electronics and percussion, creating a sound architecture with a distinctly cinematic dimension. These compositions engage with a collection of images gathered by Luís Costa over several years, now assembled into a new visual work where archive and fiction, past and future, continuously overlap.
