Having seen Jeffrey multiple times previously at Cedar, in various configurations of Redbird subsets or just with Billy Conway and also at the even more intimate Ice House (or was it Aster? pretty sure Ice House), every version so good that it has my musical holy grail being to catch him at his progenesis venue Cafe Carpe down in Ft. Atkinson. He typically makes a late year pilgrimage there from his now western MA home, but this year that's not in the cards so this upcoming at Cedar will be a good tider-over. If you like some folk Americana with an occasional bluesy tinge, wonderful voice and guitar, but especially phenomenal songwriter both from the musical and lyrical aspects, it really doesn't get any better. Also did some checking up on the previously unknown to me Dietrich Strause who's opening for him at this show, also wonderful sound... reminds me of Warren Hood switched to horn and guitar from violin!
