Bea Miller

Garden state native Bea Miller, born Beatrice Annika Miller, developed a passion for music at an early age and began performing live prior to the arrival of her teenage years. During high school Miller made vocal contributions to the animated films “Ice Age 3” and “Toy Story 3”, before auditioning for the Fox singing competition “The X Factor” in 2012. At the tender age of 13 Bea Miller successfully earned a place on the show and sung the Dixie Chicks’ “Cowboy Take Me Away” as her first song. Combing the show’s pop aesthetic with an alternative, emo appeal, Miller performed songs by the Goo Goo Dolls and Snow Patrol before ultimately being eliminated in week four.

The following year it was announced Miller had signed a joint deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco Music and Hollywood Records. Led by the single “Enemy Fire”, the singer’s debut EP “Young Blood” appeared in April 2013 and rose to No. 2 on the iTunes Pop Albums chart. Peaking at No. 64 on the Billboard 200, the record performed well and built on the recognition afforded her with The X Factor.

After contributing her voice to Jennifer Donnelly’s audiobook “Deep Blue: Songspell”, the singer-songwriter opened for Demi Lovato on the U.S. dates of her world tour. The single “Young Blood” later won the 2015 Radio Disney Music Award for “Best Song to Rock Out to With Your BFF”, following which she supported Fifth Harmony tour alongside Debby Ryan and Natalie La Rose. The singer-songwriter’s debut, full-length “Not an Apology”, appeared in July 2015, peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. Spawning the singles “Young Blood” and “Fire N Gold”, the record proved a popular released among fans and included all four tracks of her 2013 EP “Young Blood”.
