Spencer Day

Spencer Day delivered a superb, knockdown performance at the Rockwell Los Angeles with his band. Lots of comedy, passion, artistry, and his beautiful voice and keyboard work carried the evening. He is an "artist in residence" at this comfortable, stylish venue on the edge of Hollywood, performing monthly, and is not to be missed. Spencer performed the best songs from his newest album, Angel City, as well as many of his pearls from an extensive songbook, along with one or two new gems.

All in all, one of the best shows I've seen in LA in a long time. He is one artist performing today who really transcends any genre or categorization, floating seamlessly from jazz to pop to the Great American Songbook, many infused with his clever lyrics and lovely arrangements. All delivered with a 1,000 watt smile!
