At the Philly show on 09/20. Really enjoyed Welles the opener. A bit of stoner rock, a bit of a '70's throwback. really good songwriting, tight playing, great cover of The Cure's Lovesong. Keep it up guys! As for Dead Sara - what to say - IMO, killed it as they always do. Siouxsie's playing was spot on, riff heavy and just, perfect (and I stood 2' in front of her watching every chord, every note). Sean - keepin' it real and taking no prisoners. And Emily - just keep doing what you do. And I particularly enjoyed the little mid-set improv number. Have a great rest of tour and come back east again as soon as you can. BTW - no surprise here - brought the house with The Weatherman close. :) Also loved the venue #bootandsaddle in Philly - very small room and nice waitstaff.
Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Good show but not spectacular. Emily was as energetic as ever. She even ventured into the small mosh pit towards the end. The crowd went nuts for Unamerican and it was great to sing along on nearly every song. Set was average length, no encore despite the crowd's insistence. 1st show at Black Cat back room and honestly the sound was muddled and overblown. There is a difference between loud and crisp and just fuzzed out and overblown. Siouxie rocked but would have loved to hear her say more and interact with the audience.
Loved It!
I'm not really into rock n' roll, I'm more info the EDM genre, however this concert at the star theatre. The first guest stars they had (can't remember the name) were really good, they were more like soothing rock. The second band, Lost In Society, absollutly rocked. And Dead Sara, the main band that started at 10:00 pm, set the place on fire. If they come toa town near you, you should go and see them.
What can be said about Dead Sara, if you like their music, you'll love them in concert. Lead singer, Emily Armstrong, keeps the crowds attention with her voice and by addressing the audience. It all adds up to a show fully charged with energy.
I first saw Dead Sara in Dallas, TX when they opened for MUSE. I'd never heard of them before, but their show was Incredible. Highly entertaining, Emily's voice is unique and very easy to listen to. Definitely not a show you'll regret seeing!
An AMAZING show! They played hard, Emily's voice was so pure and perfect! Fun banter with crowd. High energy, plenty of songs to sing along with,a good mix of new songs, not too many new songs. I will never forget that night.
No surprise, the show was great. Dead Sara is hands down the best band I have ever seen live. In fact they sound even better live than they do on their record (which is already fantastic).
