Lethal Bizzle is one of the biggest names in the grime industry from the last few years. And his secret set on the Bestival main stage proved it. Drawing a large excitable crowd, Bizzle was the last person I was expecting to be announced as the special guest. You couldn't have predicted it. Lethal Bizzle isn't exactly fitting with the desert island disco theme or other acts on the bill like Chic and Candi Staton, but nonetheless he was an early highlight. Winning over plenty of new fans, Bizzle and his five man strong crew powered through the show with ease performing new and old favorite hip hop beat tracks. Midway, Bizzle gets the crowd down on the floor to jump back up for Baauer's' 'Harlem Shake' and enourages them to show off their best and craziest "dance" moves. 'POW', something of a national anthem in the grime world, is received by energetic fist pumpers attempting to rap back every lyric of their holy grail. A new track with a trappy beat, which sounds like it could have been produced by Diplo, goes down a storm, before the collective bid farewell and vow to return for the following years event.
I did not attend the event as it was postponed 4 days before I had booked my tickets over 5 months before been looking forward to it n lethal b pulled out due to an injury yet the next day was out doing signings and then out at the weekend also.very dissapointi f it is hard for me to get Saturdays off work so most likely wil not be able to attend whatever the new date is
Energy, energy, energy (and this was purely a pre-show)
Hit after hit played, free tees and hats... can't wait for October when he plays his full show in Paris
Good guy, great entertainer definitely worth the night out and experience
Superb last show of the tour in Birmingham! It was an excellent stage show with two drummers and DJ and several actual special guests. Great crowd too with a healthy mix of age and cultural background
