The Boppers

A great band that really love what they are doing, you can tell by their performance on stage that they absolutely love it! And it makes the audience happy!

They have been my favorites for many years, I think I have seen them 90 times soon. They and their music bring me so much joy.

One of the best concerts were on Spångafolkan. The show was divided in two and after a small break only Matte and Ingmar came out with acoustic guitars. They started singing ”Teenager in love” and they stopped singing just before the chorus line and the WHOLE audince sang it instead! No one knew before to do that, but everyone got it. Goose bumps! Hope to experience that again!

I have several favorite songs and if the play list contains ”Summertime Blues”, ”2 Fools in love”, ”Lonely Teardrops” or ”Remember Then” then I’m in heaven!

Jag såg The Boppers första gången i Viskans Folketspark 1980. Efter det har jag sett bandet oräknerliga många gånger, senast i Ersboda Folketshus 26/5 i år. Dom håller fortfarande världsklass. Bästa perioden tycker jag är 1990-1992 där albumet och den efterföljande turnén Unplugged Favourites toppade karriären.
