Little Richard

Little Richard is one of the most important artist of all time. His music and charismatic performances in the 1950’s created the conditions for Rock and Roll to flourish and become one of the most influential music genres ever. Bands like The Beatles have paid homage to Little Richard, not to mention artist in soul and funk. He's one of those artist thats is truly timeless! I hear tracks like ‘Good Golly, Miss Molly’ in pubs to this day and it still sounds amazing, it still gets people dancing, smiling and singing along. Considering it was written over 50 years ago, he obviously did something right.
He has always been known as a showman, he's charismatic, funny and charming. He clearly loves what he does as he is still performing despite being in his 80’s. In an impromptu show in New York he stole the show with his stories, wonderful sense of humour and classic songs. He didn’t let a broken hip bring him down, he still played with energy, and songs such as, ‘Blueberry Hill’, ‘Lucille’ and ‘Tutti Frutti’ had the venue rocking.
