My grandmother always loved listening to Leonard Cohen and was a big fan of him. So when I heard that Cohen would be performing nearby I wanted to give my grandmother and unexpected present. I took my grandmother to see Cohen live and she was excited when we arrived. The venue of the performance was very formal but very relaxing.
When Cohen was performing with his guitar the place was quiet, once he started singing that's when everyone got really excited to see his comeback. Listening to his music was very exciting. I felt my mind and body was combined while listening to his mellow voice. I felt an inner peace while listening to "Who By Fire". The lighting effect was extravagant and was well placed into his performance. The audience was very focused on each second of each song. The orchestra complimented his style very well. It had a perfect balance that made the environment very tranquil.
Once Cohen performed "Birds on a Wire" I could really feel his passion for one of his greatest works and achievements of his life. I felt hypnotized at what a genius he is at his word play. Overall I'd recommend anyone to see him live.
Absolute don. Such a lovely performer. If you have a chance to see him live - don't let it slip, you will not regret it. Probably makes some right good poutine too.
