Madchild

Madchild is best known for being a member of the rap group ‘Swollen Members’ which should be a pretty good indicator that he isn’t your run of the mill rapper. Canadian born Shane Bunting achieved successes both over and underground with Swollen Members doing everything from winning rap battles to making platinum records and picking up a few awards along the way. The group are still active but Madchild also uses his time to demonstrate his solo talents, flourishing on the live circuit.

Even with technical rhymes reminiscent of a Canadian EL-P, Madchild has no trouble being lyrically flawless live. With only the packed crowd as his hypeman Madchild attacks his rhymes, relentlessly going in bar after bar and wowing the audience. He throws out daps and pounds to the hungry fans, getting up in their faces as they rap his lyrics back to him. Clearly his time spent on the battle rap circuit has given Madchild a confidence and poise on stage that has helped him to really carve out a strong identity outside of Swollen Members and he definitely puts on a must-see show.

Madchild was so sick. My friend invited me last minute, said I'd LOVE him... I did.

He's always a good time. I had a blast and I would redo it all again. Loved when he hopped right into the crowd and started dancing with all of us. Best show I've been too in awhile.

One of the best shows I've seen. Great energy. Madchild is a super humble person. I'd definitely see him again. The venue is one of my favorites as well. Great staff

He was a no show in Karney tonight bummed as hell why would they advertise that l? It was a good show just not who I wanted to see. Someone needs to make that right!
