Since Zebda's reformation in 2011, they've been sweeping Europe with their unique music blend. A hugely political group, they've found a way to create a gorgeous mix of all their different backgrounds and nationalities and channel it into music that preaches some kind of message. They're truly inspirational, and I walked away from their performance at Le Cargo, Caen, in France in 2012, feeling like there were some really good human beings out there trying to make a difference to the world.
They're fast, they're pumped, and they keep you guessing. The crowd was already buzzing with good vibes, and when Zebda came on stage, it only got better. Of course, when they sang the hit 'Take Off Your Shirt', everyone recognised the familiar tune and sang along to the lyrics. The thing about Zebda is they have this way of making you think about everything they're singing, and they bring a whole new meaning to giving you a truly invigorating and thought-provoking message.
I was taken aback at how seamlessly this group has slipped back into its former glory, and I'm so excited to see where they're going to end up now. This performance was a true pleasure to watch, and I know that they have so much more in store for their fans to experience.
