Tiffany first began singing at the age of four, soon learning the words to “Delta Dawn”, and made her performing debut with the singer Jack Reeves at Narods, in Chino, California, U.S. After playing another show at the Palomino Club in North Hollywood, Tiffany came across Hoyt and Mae Axton, who took the singer to Nasville, Tennessee to perform on the “Ralph Emery Show”. She subsequently signed a contract with George Tobin, who it turned out had absolute control over her career, however did manage to get the singer a recording contract in MCA. Tiffany’s eponymous debut arrived in early 1987, spawning the single “Danny”, which failed to chart, and the No. 1 Hit U.S Billboard Hot 100 single “I Think We’re Along Now”. Aided by regular MTV and radio play, the singer became a teen pop sensation, and which to her debut album being certified quadruple platinum and a tour with then little-known New Kids on the Block.
Tiffany followed “I Think We’re Alone Now” with the equally as popular “Could’ve Been”, which again topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in February 1988. The singer subsequently saw chart success with the singles “I Saw Him Standing There”, a modified Beatles song, and “Feeling of Forever”.
At the height of her success, Tiffany, still only 17, was in conflict with her mother and step father on one side and manager George Tobin on the other. Her mother filed a missing person’s report on her daughter and Tiffany attempted to have herself declared as an emancipated minor, all of which took its toll on the young singer. In 1988, Tiffany’s sophomore album “Hold an Old Friend’s Hand” was released, which failing to live up to the success of its predecessor. The album earned mixed if not warm reviews and eventually went platinum.
The singer's subsequently released the rougher-edged soul-tinged album “New Inside” in 1990, which failed to chart, followed by “Dreams Never Die” in 1993, released exclusively in Asia. After a substantial time-out of the industry, Tiffany returned in 2000 to release “The Color of Silence”, however was unable to lose the teen-pop stigma despite the album being well-received. “Dust off and Dance” was independently issued in 2005 taking the singer in a more Eurodance and Hi-NRG genre direction, followed by the cover album “I Think We’re Alone Now: 80’s Hits and More”. An album of new material “Just Me” was released in 2007 on Water Music Records, followed by the country music album “Rose Tattoo” in 2011.

Tiffany: a name that strongly resonates with anyone bred in the 80s. Despite being born a decade later, 80s music has always held a special place in my heart. Never has music been so fun, wonderfully cheesy and yet thankfully raw and real. Tiffany encompasses all this: her vocals are distinct, her music fun and catchy. Although the 80s gear has unfortunately gone from her wardrobe, she remains an 80s diva on stage, singing mostly 80s hits and covers. Amongst these was smash hit ‘I think we’re alone now’ which brought her global success and became a classic cover, a sort of teen anthem that even now had every teen screaming along to, as well as the adults whose own youth was recalled by the song. Other hit singles "Could've Been" and "I Saw Him Standing There" also created hysteria amongst the crowd as we were transported back in time to a decade of big hair and bigger voices. Tiffany’s rough voice possessed an almost rocky edge and it was a welcome delight to hear someone with real talent on stage. A mix of her own singles and some well-known covers, including that of Guns ‘N’ Roses, made up the 80s legend’s set in spectacular style.
