Romare opened for Bonobo in Toronto and played quite the show! Very atmospheric to start and got into a groovy dancing vibe as the set went on. Busted out the electric guitar halfway and played complementing riffs to his beats. Energetic for sure that had me riveted the whole time.
I'll definitely check him out next time he's back in Toronto. :P

The sound at the Oval Space was really disappointing, unfortunately. Romare was good, although his albums promised more intersting, funk and blues infused, sofisticated music. I hope to see him some day at a better venue with better sound engineering, like roundhouse, for example.

Super disappointed. I'd been looking forward to this for weeks and traveled from a state away. Was he just having an off night? cuz he never really found a groove and felt like he was stumbling through his set. And then it ended at 11:15. WTF.
