His independent abnormal live dances on stage may have something to do with his hometown of Los Angeles, a jungle full of weird and scary creatures. But Hopsin incorporates his dances gracefully into his live sets, excelling his performance ability as a solo musician.
He claims that Eminem inspired him to stroll down the rappers yellow brick road. It can be heard lyrically as he touches on very personal mindful feelings, his temper and his hate. But the African sound is his own input. Its very moving and quite tense, something which Kanye failed to do.
Hopsin's debut single "Pans In the Kitchen" was released on May 27, 2008. It was self written and co-produced but no-one but Hopsin himself. But a later project in the same year went on to over do his initial debut and 'gazing The Moonlight' became more established, it was co-produced and thus Hopsin was beaten by the music business. However contracts aside and other boring stuff, Hopsin is an inspiration and has personally over taken Eminem in terms of lyrically influencing people. He speaks with the truth, and has maintained a principal in his goals and aims as a rapper, whereas Eminem it can be said has delved more into the commercialization of rap music.
Hopsin has actually been subject to an arrest before, but who hasn't. his is a rapper not be mess with.

Now THIS was one of my favorite concerts ever. I first heard about hopsin in 2012 when he released his Ill Mind of Hopsin 5 music video. He is an insanely good lyricist who reminds me, and a lot of other people, of Eminem. You know that when a rapper gets compared to Eminem he's good and worth a listen.
Hopsin is definitely one of the best rappers out there as of now and its great because his songs are meaningful, not just about the "money, hoes, and cars" nonsense that a lot of mainstream dudes rap about. I went with 3 friends to go see him in concert after I saw Facebook post from him showing he'd be performing near where we live.
The concert was amazing. Hopsin was very entertaining, and the crowd was wild. He was shirtless most of the time, he was wearing his contact lenses that he is so well-known for, and even jumped in the crowd to crow surf. He was probably the best performer that I have seen live. Couple that with his amazing songs, and he is definitely in my top 3 people I have seen live, if not number 1. I even bought a shirt and hoodie after the concert which I never do since they are usually so expensive, but since I like this dude so much, I figured I may as well help him out. My friends and I had a blast. I wish I could have gotten his autograph, but the place was packed. Very, very good show!
I am not a fan of rap music. They are very few rappers that I can abide. But I bloody love Hopsin. Unlike most rappers who ramble on at breakneck speed about ‘bitches’ and ‘hoes’, Hopsin raps about things of meaning. His lyrics are important. He sings about real life issues and the world around us: struggles, the government, evil, reality. I found myself intrigued by what he has to say and loving his style. Hopsin is, undoubtedly, unique. His startling, scary even, eyes (contact lenses, surey?) are the most prominent feature that stands out and that set him apart. But his music is what cements his uniqueness. I would go so far as to compare Hopsin to Eminem, one of the only rappers I appreciate, or perhaps even the great 2pac, in that he raps about things of significance. Even better, Hopsin incorporates an African twist into his sound that gives his songs even more meaning and uniqueness. The various ‘Ill mind of Hopsin’ tracks are all genius and he is thrilling to watch on stage, hopping about half naked and rallying the crowd into a frenzy.
Marcus Jamal Hopson better known by his stage name Hopsin is an American rapper equally proud of his music and his physique. The young artist does not take long to remove his tee to the deafening cheers of adoring fans before going about proving why he is one of the most exciting new artists in hip-hop.
In just five years Hopsin has released three albums so his set lists are often extensive yet he never allows the pace to drop. The crowd sings, cheers and dances along throughout the gig encouraged by the man himself and his large entourage who joins him onstage.
The atmosphere is intense throughout and Marcus impresses with his freestyle ability during the likes of 'Rip Your Heart Out' and 'How You Like Me Now'. There is a real highlight in finale 'Sag Your Pants', a single lifted from Hopkins' album 'Raw'. This is a clear fan favourite and the audience cheers at its introduction and Hopsin gives his all for one final time.
A living legend and New Breed King rapping about modern day problems and issues. Hopsin represents the true meaning and purpose of Hip Hop so if you thought Hip Hop was dead, guess you were wrong. Just shows you that all legends can't be right all the time. Wake up to the truth #NBK #VolcanicENT #VolcanicAFRICA
Hopsin was incredible on stage. He is a great performer, staying active with engaging with the crowd the entire time. Being able to see him at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz was amazing since it's a small venue. I will definitely see him live again!!

HOPSIN WAS DOPE AF..
Even before the doors opened then hop decided to play a game of sk8 with his fans on the sidewalk, then went to play another game on the road... He is an amazing lyricist and talented rapper. way worth going, will go again the next time he visits.
The show never happened.
The venue was in a real bad condition and the show got postponed.
While I think customers safety must be put first, it was frustrating to travel from Ireland to England to get to know 30 minutes before the show it got postponed.
Sick Shit. What A Hype Ass Guy. The Opening Acts Were Alright But Hopsin Blew The Stage Off Of The Place. Stage Diving, & He Even Brought Someone From The Crowd & He Started Rappin. That Shit Was Too Sick. I'll Mind Killed That Shit
It was my first time going to a concert. when i got in there it was just an amazing atmosphere,it was so good to be in that type of vibe that everyone was in. I can't wait to see you next year!
Hopsin was awesome live, he interacted with crowd really well, the meet and greet was a blast, and he sang really well! Can't wait to watch him again! Well worth the drive!
