Born and raised in Sweden her take on Americana has an unmistakable nordic flair, yet her songs portray the landscapes and her heartfelt impressions of the U.S like she knows it intimately. And after touring her way through 47 states, one could say she does. Years of performing live in big and small settings, at Festivals and in living rooms, in castles and cabins, she has honed her craft into something more than just an artist, - an avid storyteller with a voice comparable to giants like Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins, or as the East Oregonian put it - ”Sofia Talvik’s mesmerizing voice is really all that she’ll need to entertain.”

Her Folk/Americana album “Paws Of A Bear” is the 8th in her catalogue not counting EPs and singles. It has been praised in numerous publications and blogs such as Billboard, PopMatters and Americana Highways. The first single ”Take Me Home” charted in the top 10 of Folk Radio Charts for several months.
