I’ve followed Withered Hand from back in his early days in 2009 when he released Good News for the first time in the UK. His indie sound with the beautiful guitar playing he provides, and wonderful harmonies from his backing vocalist are enchanting, and listening to his recordings is something I do to relax, and so I was even more excited to see him live. He opened the show with Horseshoe, his newest single, and had everyone singing along immediately.
It was awesome to experience his performance value that he brings to his live shows, I had no idea how well he acts through his lyrics, and I took a completely new meaning from everything he sang, making me re-evaluate the message in his lyrics. He even explained some of the motivations behind specific tracks, which was awesome to hear first hand.
He, along with his eclectic band including a accordion, played a great selection of tracks, ranging from their older work, right up to New Gods, which they almost played in its entirety, and as it’s a new release, that was very exciting!
