Dayna Kurtz

I've only been listening to Dayna Kurtz for about a year but in that time I've really come to enjoy her music. I own most of her published works and when I saw she would be performing in Danville I decided to go. It was a 3 hour drive but it turned out to be well worth the time invested. She performed solo, just her and an acoustic guitar. I now have a new appreciation for her music. Her voice in a live setting brings a whole new dimension to her music. Her voice is strong and expressive. I don't have anything but some YouTube videos to compare this performance to. It was a fairly small turnout but she gave an admirable and intimate performance and I can't remember enjoying a live performance any more than I did Saturday night. She really is a talented song writer and a wonderful performer. Her set included a wide cross selection of material from her previous releases as well as her newest album, Rise and Fall. After the show she came out to lobby to talk with the audience and answered their questions along with signing Cd's and posing for pictures. As I said, it was a beautiful, intimate evening and I would recommend her shows to anyone.
