Bent

Bent is fabulous. I love listening to their music just about any time. I enjoy their brand of electronica because it is not always as abrasive as some artists. They play with their music, and use their machines to make up some wonderful songs that can be as fun as they are serious. I've seen them live a couple of times in England, and their stage presence is made up by the energy in the music that's heard. Bent themselves always look pretty unassuming, just in normal-ish business/casual or just casual clothing. Their music tells a different story, and it's fun to see the contrast between the way the artist looks and the product that they produce. I really enjoy their tunes, and I think people that don't really like electronica could get into Bent since they're not so traditionally coarse. Their music brings whatever energy they want you to feel at the time you are listening to it. Their audience is as varied as one can imagine, young to old, and spanning cultures as well. They're great to catch if you ever happen to be in England, or catch the tour dates where they come to the States because they toured quite a bit last year. Here's hoping for some dates this year.
