As a fan of hardcore music, I must say that Have Heart has proven to be a very good leader in the genre. Their unique sound really sets them apart from the rest of the bunch, with meaningful lyrics and powerful musical prowess of everyone in the group.
I was in Massachusetts at the time when they announced that they'd be doing their final show in Revere, an hour or so drive from my current location, later that week. I made it a point to go see the concert, seeing as how it'd be their final one and all. I went online to purchase a ticket from Ticketmaster later that night and I awaited Friday, the day of the show.
On the day of the show, I headed over to Revere and when I arrived at the venue, there was a MASSIVE line of people waiting to get in. I chatted with some people way in the back and they told me they came all the way from Alaska to see these guys perform their last song, which I thought was very commendable. After an hour of waiting, we finally made it to the entrance and were greeted to the sounds of the band playing their song "Pave Paradise". They also played one of my favorites, "Brotherly Love" at the conclusion of the concert, which I felt was very fitting.
