Michel Camilo debuted with his trio at Carnegie Hall in New York in 1985, quickly establishing himself as one of the most important Latin jazz pianists in the world. Throughout his career, he has released many albums in trio format, performed at the most prestigious jazz festivals in the world and collaborated with musicians as great as Dafnis Prieto, Ricky Rodríguez and Antonio Sánchez. A Grammy, Emmy and Latin Grammy Award winner, his career spans decades of touring the United States, Europe, Japan and the Caribbean. The trio is still his reference format today, a space where technique, Caribbean identity and passion for jazz merge in their most authentic expression.
