With or without a backing band with drums and bass - it's the brilliant songwriting and the guitar hooks! Alright, you know?! But, after a while, it began a feeling of boring in me. Or was it the fiddle playing of his wife, that left in me light nerving tendencies after about 60 minutes? I don't really know! But, Hey, it's Robert Forster, folks! What else?

superb show, played a melange of his songs from various years - engaging, energetic, I always gain new insights when I see/hear the songs performed live - I had the very privileged opportunity to see him 30 years ago, and I imagine i recall many mannerisms to be the same - lordy, if one gets the chance to see this legend - do so - with all haste

Awesome show. Awesome man. Awesome venue. To see a Brissie legend up close, still at the top of his game, in such an intimate setting, was perfect! Hope he plays the Junk Bar again soon.

Absolutely fantastic, the band were on top form. A two hour show of his solo stuff and classics from the go betweens.
I can’t wait to see him again in Whelans in November.
