The Hundred in Hands is one of the most creative acts I've ever seen play live. Their name is fitting because there's so much more going on than you would think a two-piece would be able to pull off -- it's like they both have 100 hands. Get it? I'm not sure that's what the name means, but it's something I get from it. Eleanor's vocals are really impressive and give the music a beautiful feel. The music is highly layered and goes everywhere from rock to electronic to pop to almost a blues and punk kind of thing. The drummer is exceptionally talented and is tasked with carrying the music in even an almost melodic way.
Eleanor, however, is the real ticket. She plays keyboard/synth and sings at a recording quality. Her vocal range is so wide and the emotion she brings to the music really takes it to the next level. When I saw them, they did have a back up musician playing guitar. This brought even more to the performance and the atmosphere inside was epic and complete. Some of what you get from the music is a ghastly, frightening emotion. Other times purely gorgeous. Other times straight rock. Absolutely memorable and worth checking out if you're after something fully supreme!
