Biografia
Born into a musical family with Orellana’s mother as a professional singer, from an early age he was surrounded by music largely provided through his Dominican and Guatemalan heritage. At the age of three, Orellana had already started learning to play the drums which developed into him learning production at 12 years old inspired by hip-hop icons: Dr Dre, Just Blaze and 9th Wonder.
With his trusty Akai Music Production Center, Orellana began experimenting with producing hip-hop beats as he developed his production skills. Through posting footage of his live mixing on the internet he rapidly built a strong online following. Making use a childhood nickname and adding ‘muzik’, Orellana adopted the alias as he booked club shows, taking his music on the road.
Inspired by the vocals on trance tracks heard on the radio, Araabmuzik began incorporating trance and dance samples into his work, adding a whole new dimension to his sound. In 2006 after various meetings with record producer and head of A&R DukeDaGod of Diplomat Records, Orellano jumped on board working with some of the labels key artists. In 2009 created beats and featured on rapper Cam’ron’s single “Get It In Ohio”.
In 2010 Araabmuzik began releasing his own music starting with a series of mixtapes before releasing his debut full length album “Electronic Dream” in 2011. Successfully fusing hip-hop with electronica earned Orellana positive reviews as Pitchfork awarded it Best New Music and featured at number 40 in the publications Top 50 Albums of 2011.
As Araabmuzik has fervently worked on not only his original music, he has also steadily built upon his production credentials working with: ASAP Rocky, Azealia Banks, Busta Rhymes and Eminem resulting in him becoming a highly respected, promising and sought after producer.

AraabMuzic put on an intense show that created an atmosphere I wouldn’t have thought possible… I mean how can one guy and an MPC entertain a large crowd so well? His high speed finger drumming, for which he has become so well know, was dramatised and highlighted by the large screen behind him onto which live footage of his phenomenal finger work was projected. Although critics could claim that the show was somewhat one dimensional, the crowd, myself included, loved it. He kept us dancing and engaged with his instrumental hip hop style of music throughout the show. Unlike many other DJs, his gigs give audiences something live to listen to and watch, and that makes his shows very memorable. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend his shows to anyone interested in sample based music. Even if you aren’t a huge fan of his songs, the show is worth going to just to see him rock the MPC!
AraabMuzik, unlike many electronic music acts these days, is a real LIVE show. While DJs play tunes by the song, AraabMusik plays music by the sound. Each one of the tunes he plays (if it is a released music track that he's playing) is divided up into individual sounds and samples on his MPC. He presses a button, one snare drum is heard, he presses another button, one synth is heard.... he plays an entire track by the sample... I know, exactly... it is mind blowing!
