Afro Celt Sound System

Possibly one of the best live performances I have ever seen (and I've seen a few in my time).
The vibrancy and energy displayed by both the Dhol Foundation and Afro Celt Sound System was amazing aided by the fact that it was in one of the best venues around in Holmfirth Picturedrome!
I thought the Celts would struggle to follow the Dhol Foundation, a thought endorsed by Simon Emmerson of the Celts who was standing next to me during their set.
No fears though, the Celts were also amazing,the culminating in all 24 or so performers taking to the stage for an encore to end a truly memorable evening!
If they are near you go!!!!

Great show at the Wedgewood rooms in Portsmouth, playing a great selection of tunes both old and new. A must show for old and young, not often you see bag pipes in modern UK bands but spine tingling to hear.

If you luv African and Celtic music you cannot go wrong with this band, the fiddle and bagpipe players are true exponents of there instruments. Don't delay go and see this great band.

Great concert, a big band with 10 or more members, playing instruments like the bagpipes and the Kora. A must see band mixing african and Celtic music into a great Wall of sound.
