I saw Chapelier Fou recently at the Purcell Room at the Southbank and was mesmerised by his talents. If you haven't heard of him before, the Frenchman is a composer of electronic and classical instrumentation. He is so unique, you will not have seen anyone like him before.
He does the best of mixing the two musical genres of electronic and classical together, two genres which may not necessarily sound like they first go together, but with this man's brilliant talent they really do. Within the catchy melodies he produces are a whole underground of refined and surprising complexity which many artists lack in the present day.
His sound ambient and experimental, making for a variety of ear pleasing sounds, synths and melodies. The variety of instruments used also bring the experimental side to life making for a enjoyable and curious listen.
He's humble and quiet not interacting too much with audience. But this doesn't matter, his music does the talking and that is all you need as an audience member. Catch him on his latest tour, something tells me he is going to make it big.
