I saw him at the Mohawk in Austin, TX. He came on at Midnight on a Saturday, and the hour suited him. He's a singer/songwriter with beautiful material, a distinct fingerpicking style on guitar, and a sweet falsetto lullabye voice. It's not gonna put you to sleep, the music is complex, but it's the delivery that's soothing. He was accompanied by a super talented keyboardist / vocalist playing the Mellotron, lots of ethereal flute sounds, and also ocean sounds, which fit the vibe.
I can compare him to other artists (Night Beds, Nick Drake), but in truth he's got his own distinct sound. It was a great concert experience.
