Pianist Danny Grissett comes to Bird's Eye to present his new project Travelogue (Savant Records), a sonic journey full of sensitivity, elegance, and swing. A longtime collaborator of master trumpeter Tom Harrell, Grissett has established himself as one of the most refined voices in contemporary jazz, known for his lyricism, harmonic sophistication, and deep connection to the tradition.
Travelogue blends original compositions and jazz standards to explore the concept of “home”—a feeling born from people, memories, and shared moments. Having lived in Los Angeles, New York, and Vienna, Grissett transforms his life experience into music rich in soul and emotion.
On this special occasion, the pianist will perform in trio format with Josh Ginsburg on double bass and Francesco Ciniglio on drums. An evening to be carried away by the most exquisite jazz, featuring music from Travelogue alongside classics by Ellington, Corea, and Monk.
