Spend an intimate afternoon with Grammy-nominated artist Ruthie Foster, whose voice has become one of the most powerful in American roots and blues music.

The conversation, moderated by Celia Gregory, is followed by a permanent artifact donation reveal celebrating Foster’s lasting impact on the genre, timed to the release of her new album. The reveal marks a significant addition to the museum’s growing collection of contemporary roots and blues history.

I have been going to see Ruthie Foster perform for about a decade now in venues from North Carolina to northern New Hampshire (also buying each of her CDs.) She just gets better and better. Her current band with Samantha on the drums and Larry on the bass is a great fit. Last night in Somerville Ruthie and her band were clearly enjoying the vibe from the audience. There is nothing better than great music when it moves the audience and then circles back to the performers. Keep on Ruthie!
