Sound of the Sirens e Samantics

Reaper Events are very pleased to announce that the incredibly talented Sound of the Sirens and Samantics are joining us for an intimate seated gig in the heart of Wrington village. Those of you who are already reading this know the wonderful music both acts create and we feel extremely honoured to be bringing them both to the heart of Somerset.

A little about both acts:

Sound of the Sirens are an acoustic singer-songwriting duo based in Exeter, Devon comprising of Abbe Wood & Hannah Walker. Honing their craft over the past decade, Wood & Walker have cemented themselves as firm favourites not only on the Westcountry scene, but nationally, and internationally too. Their status, and fast-growing fan-base is not only testament to the pair’s prowess as songwriters and musicians, but as people too.

Samantics is a one man machine of honesty, energy, words, sounds and story telling. His passionate and often poignant lyrics paint a unique, yet relatable, picture of the world we're all wandering. Tiptoeing between the heartfelt and the hilarious, his live show has often been described as ‘impossible to stop watching’ and ‘mesmerising’. Using an ever expanding trolley full of noises (ukuleles, bass, piano, beats, harmonies, blips and bloops and much more) Samantics layers and pieces each score together using live looping, meaning no song is ever the same. It's not quite hip-hop but it's not quite not... It's more rowdy, soulful, noisy poetry that's hard to describe and a lot better live.
