International festival begun after the second world war to promote unity. Groups from around the world compete in singing and dancing competitions, as well as the odd high-profile headliner. Takes place early in July every year, lasting a week. During the rest of the year the pavilion is used for dance lessons, antique fairs and a food and drink festival.
