Because of construction and renovation work on its original building in the city center, Vredenburg will have two locations in Utrecht until 2012: Vredenburg Leidse Rijn (colloquially referred to as the “Rode Doos,” or “Red Box”) and Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh. Primarily large-scale concerts will be given in Vredenburg Leidsche Rijn. Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh will serve as a recital hall.
