From Hertfordshire.com; "Dacorum Pavilion, Hemel Hempstead's 1500 capacity venue CLOSED it's doors for the last time on the 30th June 2002. A recent feasibility study and building survey found that the venue, built nearly 40 years ago, was becoming increasingly unsuitable to meet the leisure needs of the local community. Dacorum Borough Council therefore made the decision to close Dacorum Pavilion on 30th June and replace it with another type of facility."
