THE WATER RATS
Furnafields are a North London-based three-piece injecting new life into the musical legacy of Holloway Road with their own unique brand of low fi, fast paced, alt-rock. Photographers and graphic designers by trade, Furnafields comprises a drummer who honed his skills on the teenage punk rock scene in Dorset, a tall, dark, mysterious bassist from the Welsh valleys, and an egomaniacal frontman whose lyrical influences range from Bobby Womack to Anton Newcombe but are always delivered with a splash of Jack White. Together they deliver a refreshingly original setlist, stuffed full of riffs you can dance to, that indie journo David Newbury described as “rather ace… like the Young Knives gone CBGBs”.
