Additional details

Tour name: Suicide: A Punk Mass
Doors open: 19:30

This unique show pays tribute to the proto-punk band’s indelible influence on the musical landscape, with Alan Vega and Martin Rev aka Suicide bringing together classic material, new work, and collaborations with some famous fans.

Vega and Rev were misfits in the early 1970s New York arts scene, creating distorted, minimal and haunting electronic tones using early drum-machines and keyboards, while their punk-era contemporaries relied on heavy guitars.

Suicide first used the phrase A Punk Mass to describe some of their very earliest live performances and this show is conceived as a kind of closing of the circle; a chance for the audience and for fellow musicians to experience and pay tribute to a singular body of work.
