More News From Nowhere are teaming up with The Stow Festival and William Morris Gallery for this very special FREE SHOW for the opening night of StowFest, featuring LEAFCUTTER JOHN and SAM EDWARDS

LEAFCUTTER JOHN is a prolific sound artist, songwriter, musician and educator whose work combines elements of traditional folk song with improvisation, found sounds and field recordings, and electronic instruments. He’s also noted for his knowledge and intimacy with his medium – having hand built an acoustic guitar, and designed and made unique synthesisers, microphones and software as part of his practice, he embodies William Morris’s assertion that “A pattern-designer should know all about the craft for which he has to draw”.

SAM EDWARDS is a multi-instrumentalist and improviser who takes the aesthetic of drone / ambient music and infuses it with a warmth and humanity that sets her apart from many others working in the genre.

Entry is free, but space is limited, so get down early!
