Sonya Kitchell has embarked upon something entirely new, joining forces with Neal Evans (Jack White, Soulive) to form the music of psych-pop power duo, “&Co.” Combining an irreverent rock & roll spirit with space-age synths and breakbeats. Their new album hints to influences of groups such as Broadcast and the Kinks, providing an electric shock to a classic sound. Undeniably infectious and unapologetically raw, &Co finds its roots in the past while creating something distinctly their own.
The Shift:
Together, John Shannon (vocals/guitar), MJ Lambert (drums) and Ben Geis (bass) craft earth-shattering anthemic rock with vibrant depth and a forceful punch. The powerhouse trio’s defiant yet atmospheric sound is perfectly captured on its debut album “7th Direction.” Shannon declares….“Our music is about altering your consciousness through the sheer power of rock n roll…Our lyrics don’t deal with your politics, they question the nature of your reality.”
Sky White Tiger:
Blurring lines between fantasy and reality, Louis Schwadron (former Polyphonic Spree, Rufus Wainwright Band) took matters into his own paws, birthing psych-pop sound world of SKY WHITE TIGER. After a decade of writing, recording, or performing as multi-instrumentalist with Radiohead, David Bowie, Elton John, Sufjan Stevens, Grizzly Bear, The National, St. Vincent, and a batch of support tours with Rufus Wainwright, Alberta Cross and Duncan Sheik, Schwadron has completed a debut LP Electra, an EP Child of Fire, and has recently teamed up with Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear to co-produce a single for the upcoming LP Invisible City.
