Laure Chan (British Franco-Chinese violinist) and William Jack (South Australian cellist/guitarist) are a London-based classical fusion string duo. After studying classical traditions in Vienna, they developed a common interest in expanding the musical capabilities of their instruments and breaking down barriers between genres and cultures.
Their encounters with various styles have inspired both performers to collaborate as composers in creating progressive works that fuse together multiple sound worlds. Together they’ve enraptured audiences in concert halls and churches to restaurants and bars.
In 2020, Laure and William released their debut record ‘Air’. The pieces were praised by Universal Music and Audio Network and provided a backboard for the two artists to create their own unique solo albums in 2021/22. To this date, ‘Air’ has not been performed to a live audience in its entirety. This intimate performance is an opportunity for Laure and William to share these compositions (plus some extra surprises!)
