Milou Moon is the psych rock project of French-American musician Emily McGill. Originally heralding from Chicago, Em now resides and creates in Naarm/Melbourne on Wurundjeri land. Inspired by the classic psych movement of the 60s and 70s, wistful vocal melodies and hypnotic, guitar and harmony-driven soundscapes are the building blocks for her dreamlike world. Milou Moon's live show features a four piece outfit made up of Em, Sam O'Neil, George De Silva, and Jevaan Waldron, all of whom have a cheeky penchant for extended outro jams.
Come celebrate the launch of Milou Moon's first single Drawn In for a nice start of summer boogie :) Written during lockdown, Drawn In conjures a deep longing for expansiveness during a time of contraction. Get the feels while movin' your feet.
