All singers -- no experience necessary -- are invited to a Community Circle Sing on the second Saturdays of each month from 10:30am to noon.
Circle singing is a powerful musical form that offers a unique way to connect, build community and experience the healing that joining our voices can bring. We are lucky enough to have a number of experienced circle leaders in our area who will be rotating through as our fearless guides each month.
We will be meeting in the beautiful and resonant sanctuary of the First Presbyterian in downtown TBurg. Please bring a water bottle and wear comfy clothes. Donations for the use of the space are welcome.
Join us and bring a friend!
What a wonderful show! I met so many great people. Of course, I already knew that Mark Lawrence is a big-hearted soul with a wonderful, tenor voice. I had never heard Burns & Kristy; they were delightful. Delicious songwriting and sweet 3-part vocal harmonies. I was awestruck by Christopher Morgan Loy's composition. It was too short and I wanted more. I look forward to hearing more of his music soon.
Of course, the choirs were there and sounding beautiful: Ithaca Gay Men's Chorus, First Baptist Church choir, and Savage Club (of which I'm a part). Finally, Opera Ithaca members performed solos prior to the grand finale with all the choirs singing bits of Les Miserables.
Add to this the fact that it was a great cause -- Ithaca Welcomes Refugees -- and "Love Beyond Borders"was a well-rounded musical evening. Thanks again, Mark!
