Guitarist and bandleader Josh Smith began playing at six and was already working professionally in his early teens, building his reputation on the U.S. blues circuit before going on to tour internationally. Over the years he has performed and recorded with a wide range of artists, including B.B. King, Mick Jagger, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Johnson and Raphael Saadiq, appearing at major events such as the Grammy Awards and the Kennedy Center Honors. His playing is rooted in the blues but draws equally on jazz and rock, with a focus on phrasing, rhythm and musical interaction.
