Haylie Davis belongs to an intriguing LA scene that boasts several acts harking back to the halcyon days of Laurel Canyon songwriting – including Alex Amen, Drugdealer, Sylvie and Sam Burton, many of whose projects she has appeared on. From origins of psychedelic folk pop and 70s cosmic Americana, Haylie’s sound is an infectious alternative take on modern pop music, with plenty of hooks and a huge chorus; she is the Carly Simon for post-Generation Z. Her euphoric range sits somewhere between Joan Baez, Carole King and Emmylou Harris.
