Born Justin Cole Moore, the singer/songwriter began life in small town America, working on his family’s farm, singing gospel songs in Church and performing in his junior year of high school, where he won a talent show at just eight years old. After which he joined his uncle’s Southern rock band and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, U.S., back in 2002. He then met a gentleman named Scott Borchetta, a music executive, who was creating the record label Valory Music Group and said he would like to sign Moore if he could be patient.
Sure enough in 2008 Justin Moore signed to the Valory Music Group which represented an epoch in his music career, with his first radio single “Back That Thing Up” reaching number 38 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. For Moore’s first full-length he left it up to fans to decide on which songs should be on the album by allowing them to make a playlist of his songs, with the top ten most picked making it to the album. By this point Moore has brought together an impressive group of musicians which led to a series of opening support slots on tours by Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Moore has charted in the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart a total of eight times, four of which he topped with his songs “Small Town USA”, “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away”, “Til My Last Day” and “Lettin’ the Night Roll”. On top of this Moore’s two most recent albums “Outlaws Like Me” and “Off the Beaten Path” have both topped the Billboard Country Album charts. Steve Leggett of Allmusic puts this down to Moore having a ‘ready made imagine’ that’s not hard to publicise and his ability to write his own music is another string to his bow.
In 2014 Justin Moore won the award for New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
As a teenager, Corbin began learning guitar taking lessons from session guitarist Pee Wee Melton, going on to playing in a band, earning opening slots with Janie Fricke and Mel McDaniel. After finishing college, achieving a degree in agribusiness, Corbin married and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, US, where he began performing as a solo artist.
After being put into contact with A&R senior director Joe Fisher, Corbin signed to Mercury's Nashville label in 2009, releasing his debut single, "Little More Country Than That" in July the same year. It reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His self-titled debut album, produced by Carson Chamberlain, built on that success, with first-week sales of 43,000 copies. Following the release, "A Little More Country Than That" went on to reach number one on the Country Charts, the first male country artist's debut single to do so. The album reached number 10 in the US charts, number four in the Country Charts. With his fame building, he was invited to tour with Brad Paisley upon his world tour, began in May 2010.
2010 really was a successful year for Corbin, being awarded for his sensational debut album with several awards. Corbin won 'New Breakthrough Artist of the Year,' 'Breakthrough Single' as well as 'Best Video by Breakthrough Artist' along with a whole host of nominations.
His debut album was followed by 2012's "All Over The Road," which featured two top 40 singles, "Lovin' You Is Fun," reaching number five and "All Over The Road" at number three.
Rain or shine, outdoor at county fairs or at indoor venues, Justin Moore knows how to work the crowd. Standing on stage with his shirt tucked into his jeans and his cowboy hat topping his head, he encourages his fans to sing a little louder, clap a little harder, stomp a little faster. Whether they're singing along to “Point At You” or sobbing as one to “If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away”, the audience will be moved by Moore's music. His touching, clever lyrics combined with his heart of gold make him the perfect country musician.
A successful American singer from Arkansas, Moore's albums, Justin Moore, Outlaws Like Me, and Off the Beaten Path prove him to be country through and through. His songs “Til My Last Day”, “If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away”, “Small Town USA”, and “Letting the Night Roll” all made the Hot Country Songs charts, and he won the New Artist of the Year award in 2014.
Not only his talent, but also his personality make him stand out as a musician. Justin Moore is an undeniably sweet guy. At one concert, he sang “happy birthday” to a boy in the crowd, and at another he asked the security to back off in order to be closer to his fans. His songs, often rich with emotion, are rendered even more effective by his obvious connection to the crowd. See him in concert once, and you're sure to want to see him again!
He has looks and swagger of your stereotypical popstar, high fives the audience during performances and has an abundance of energy as he moves round the stage; Easton Corbin certainly isn't your ordinary country singer. The 32-year-old has recorded two albums to date which have both charted in the top four of the US Country Music chart, the latter's peak position being second, and is currently working on his third album, releasing the single 'Clockwork' in early January 2014. Clockwork is a song where Easton discusses the mistakes he makes with women, as if he 'sees a freight train coming and just stand there on the tracks'. The single certainly has a catchy chorus and echos the main theme of his previous songs (his experiences with love), making him easy for the audience to connect with.
When you entitle your latest tour 'Ten Times Crazier', you are certainly expecting something dramatic. Although country music is probably not your first thought when you consider the concept of crazy, Easton certainly pulls out the stocks with several electric and acoustic guitarists on stage in addition to a brilliant violinist to accompany him during recent sets. The interaction he has with the crowd is another nice tough as gets them to all sing along and clap in time with his classic hits. An overall friendly guy and someone who offers something a bit different to the music scene.
