On 19 September, we welcome imo-Lu and Winslow all the way from Glasgow to our next Microfunk evening at BRUK, Stockport.
A professional musician by day and a dj by night, imo-Lu brings her background in piano improvisation and choir singing to the forefront of her deep, atmospheric d&b production. Her latest Microcosm EP on Submorphics’ Rosebay Music became one of our favourite releases last year and remains a staple at our Microfunk evenings.
Winslow is a St. Louis-born producer blending the best of drum & bass, hip-hop and jazz to create infectiously swinging grooves. With releases on Hospital Records, Sofa Sound and Spearhead, he brings a soulful perspective to the genre, something we’d love to hear more of.
And of course, Bop will be joining the line-up, bringing forthcoming music from the label and beyond. Join us for another journey into the deeper side of drum & bass.
