Something that doesn’t seem to quite translate in any other country other than the United States of America is just how huge country music is over there. The biggest country singers of the day pack out stadiums just as easily as any bunch of 70’s rock gods or pop sensations and in the form of Danielle Bradbery, we have a country singer who won one of the biggest talent shows the US of A has to offer. In any other country a singer so constrained to genre wouldn’t get anywhere but in the states, that’s not quite the case, and to be clear, that’s a very good thing.
Born to her parents Danny Bradbery and Gloria Redden Martinez in 1996, Bradbery has the kind of backstory most teenagers dream of having. With nothing but talent, a love for music and plentiful experience singing into a hairbrush in front of a mirror, she auditioned for The Voice when she was sixteen years old and astonished the judges with a rendition of Taylor Swift’s “Mean”. She ended up with three judges to choose from and joined up with country superstar Blake Shelton to apprentice under. She barely needed the help, cruising through the contest and emerging one of the clearest winners that the show had ever had.
However, unlike most talent show winners Bradbery had legitimate staying power, releasing a genuine hit single “The Heart Of Dixie” shortly after her victory and her self-titled debut album the following November. The same month that her album came out she made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry, a rite of passion for all legitimate country singers and she spent most of 2014 on tour, either headlining her own shows or opening for Hunter Hayes. Truly, she’s an artist with the world at her feet, who could easily follow in the footsteps of Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson by becoming more famous than the talent show that produced them. For that reason, Danielle Bradbery comes highly recommended.

Imagine winning one of the nation’s biggest talent shows, a show watched by over 15 million people, scoring a massive record deal for yourself and jump starting your career. Then imagine doing all that at 16. Yes when Danielle Bradbury won the voice in 2013, she was the youngest contestant ever to do so and so as soon as that victory came so did a mountain of pressure. Thankfully with her debut album hitting 5 on the country charts, It doesn’t look like Danielle is going to crack and in fact when you see her live it becomes clear that she is going to thrive.
Working the stage with the confidence and swagger of someone much older, Danielle looks immediately at home in a place where others would be lost. She brings a youthful energy to modern country sounds and is likely to impress crowds regardless of age. Her voice is a show-stopper and every time she hits the high notes you realise why she was always going to win that show. Now 18 years of age, Danielle still has her whole life, and from what I’ve seen, a long career ahead of her.
I've liked Danielle Bradbery since watching her win the Voice. I had bought her first cd for my son who would call her "his girl" when she was on the Voice. I think she has really come into her own now and is the wave of the future for female country artists.
She surprised me with how she has evolved from a little girl who did a lot of songs where she stood with very little movement and let her voice carry the emotion of the song, to this kick ass preformer she is now. When the show started I thought I was at a rock concert it had that kind of vibe. Danielle came out looking all grown up and the atmosphere stayed pumped up. She sang a lot of new music with a few old ones thrown in. She did a great opening act that kept us hyped up for Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett who killed it. Danielle even came out and sang a duet with Thomas Rhett that sounded so much like the one on the cd I had to check to make sure she hadn't recorded it with him.
I would gladly see her in concert again. Very memorable night.
The meet and greet was awesome and the show was really good. That is one show that I will never forget. More people should go see Danielle she has a great voice and she puts on an amazing show. I hope I get the chance to go to another one sometime in the future. This was my 4th time seeing Danielle in concert.
