Biografía
Mills grew up amongst the wealthy elite of New York City, US, attending boys private schools throughout his life. However, rather than chasing a high paying career as a lawyer or banker as most of his peers had, he decided to pursue a career in music, as a hip-hop artist under the name of Skizzy Mars.Whilst still in high school, Mills recorded much of the music that was to become his first singles, making music that sounded well above his years and experience. Full of intelligent lyrics and gentle flow, these early recordings showed a lot of promising for the young rising star.
Releasing his first single, “Possibilities,” his success has been rapid, with his second, “Douchebag,” becoming a critical success, resulting in significant hype building around the artist. His meticulous delivery and unorthodox production has made him stand out from the crowd, whilst still drawing comparisons with Drake, Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West.
Mills had an interest in music from an early age, initially attracted to alternative/indie rock bands, such as The Killers and Death Cab for Cutie. Mills then turned to hip-hop, enjoying the music of Kid Cudi and Kanye West, although his fondness for rock did not disappear. Mills often raps over indie rock tracks, making his music stand out from the crowd, sampling the entire track, guitars included, as opposed to just the beat. He has used tracks such as Foster the People’s “Houdini” and Grouplove’s “Colours” to showcase his rapping talent, which often is full of metaphor and pop-culture references. Mills signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing for the release of his debut album. His mixtape, “Phases,” featuring contributions from G-Eazy and DJ Carnage.

Although Myles Mills may have grown up in Harlem where hip hop is said to have originated, he is intent on creating something truly creative with his sound. The fact he attended private school and seemed to be detached from his Harlem roots only seemed to fuel Skizzy's frank lyrical voice.
Since he emerged with his debut single 'Possibilities' he has gone from cult phenomena to highly acclaimed performer who is said to have a live show that is both socially charged and expertly performed. As he is preceded by a number of accompanying musicians, the audience are not quite sure what to expect however Mars leads them through a setlist of alt-hip hop with tongue in cheek lyrical content and a blunt tone of voice. It goes down well and his intent to keep the crowds involved and onside works in his favour as he takes his final bow the fans attempt to tear the roof clean off with their deafening cheers and screams of approval.
Awesome show! Had M&G tickets and was phenomenal. Yoshi was great as well. Good Group of guys with great talent and personality. Mr. Skizzy is a real guy who actually cares about his fans and takes time to have conversations. I was able to speak with Yoshi for a long while before the show and got to connect with him on a level that the average skizzy fan might never think about. ATL is awesome, and I know for certain these guys have a true love for the city as well as their fanbase here.
The concert was lit from start to finish. If began with a DJ who played popular songs, then P-Lo came on and sang his more popular songs. They combined for about an hour and then skizzy mars came on and performaned for about 2 hours. Worth every penny of the 14 dollars I payed for my ticket. Would have payed double that.
The show was really good. The crowd had a ton of energy and was very fun. Many people in the crowd were very pushy, but there isn’t much that security can do about that. Coat check was way over priced. Overall, a great experience.
He took a while getting out but he was a great performer and it was a great show. Oliver tree is wild asf lol. I’ve been wanting to see skizzy for awhile now and I wasn’t disappointed at all.
The skizzy Mars tour was an amazing experience. First time I have seen him live and he had great opener and guest. I would love to see him come back to the bay soon. Thank you Skizzy!
